Johnie South, 87, of Auburn, formerly of Atlanta and Kentucky passed away June 11, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellymae South and granddaughter, Maria-Victoria Boucugnani. He is survived by daughter, Denise "Dee" South, step-daughter, Linda Boucugnani-Whitehead Thomas, step-son, Joseph Sturgeon and Claire Flanagan; brother, Albert South; sister, Jewell South; grandson, Adams Williams and step-grandson, David Boucugnani Shaunda. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 11 o'clock at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Dr. Lamar Holley officiating. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Nell, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. box 56566, Atlanta, GA 30343.
