Stevan Kerpics, age 86, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 surrounded by his family. Stevan was born on July 20, 1931 in Amherst, Ohio. He graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School. After graduation he served two years in the U.S. Marine Corps before starting his career in retail sales. Steve was always very creative. He enjoyed drawing, painting and wood carving and at one time considered a career as an artist. He had a great sense of humor and loved nothing more than catching someone in a clever prank. In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing lawn darts and partnering his wife in a rousing game of Pinochle. Steve was an avid Braves fan and loved to watch college football games with his sons. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, who loved to spend time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Margaret (Kigossy) Kerpics. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Ann Kerpics; children, Kevin Kerpics and wife, Rosemary of Monroe, Karen Boyd and husband, Ken of Mechanicsville, VA, Susan Hodge of Loganville, Linda Hobbs and husband, Randy of Cleveland, Jeff Kerpics and wife, Shannon of Lawrenceville, and Michael Kerpics and wife, Mary of Buford; seventeen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at the church. Funeral arrangements made by Wages and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematories, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy.
