Thomas Theodore 'Theo' Spiva

Thomas Theodore Spiva, also known as ‘Theo‘ passed away on February 19, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, cherished memories, and a profound impact that will be forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was born on April 22, 1930, in Ponder, Georgia. After 37 years, he retired from General Motors and resided in Lawrenceville, Georgia with his wife, Margie. Theo lived life to the fullest, finding joy in woodworking and playing with his great grandchildren.

Theo is proceeded in death by his wife, Marge Irene Spiva; son, Thomas “Larry” Spiva; father and mother, Henry and Dovie Spiva; sisters, Velma Spiva and Betty Ballew; brother, Herron Spiva; grandchildren, Tommy and Brian Spiva. He is survived by his son, Kenny Spiva and wife Sharon Spiva; grandchild, Melissa Cable and husband Matthew Cable; and great-grandchildren, Mason and McKinley Cable.

He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. Though his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will live on in the countless lives that he touched. Theo’s memory will continue to inspire us to live with love, compassion, and purpose.
