Timothy Eugene Foss, a beloved resident of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 66, at Emory Midtown Hospital. Born in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Tim left a lasting legacy as a devoted family man, a skilled carpenter, and a cherished friend.
Timothy dedicated a significant part of his life to his career as a carpenter at Brasfield & Gorrie, where his craftsmanship and dedication shone brightly. He worked tirelessly until his well-earned retirement in May 2022. His commitment to his profession was matched only by his commitment to those he held dear.
Timothy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for shooting fireworks, playing softball, and spending quality time with his friends. His warm and welcoming nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Tim’s kindness and love for his family and friends left an indelible mark on those around him.
Timothy is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Foss, his daughter Michelle Dixon (Brian), his son Shane Baggett (Amber), his sisters Cheryl Johnson (Richard) and Cathy Hunt (Jimmy), his brother Dwayne Foss, and four cherished grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Lou Foss and John Eugene Foss III, as well as his grandparents Mr. & Mrs. JE Foss, Jr. and Mr. & Mrs. EJ Braussard.
In accordance with Tim’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. However, a visitation will be held at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel on January 15th from 7-9 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and family to come together, share memories, and celebrate the life of a man who brought happiness and kindness to all who knew him.
Timothy Eugene Foss will be remembered for his unwavering positivity, his warm heart, and his zest for life. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories that will be cherished by those fortunate enough to have called him family or friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. We spent many good times together (softball, cruising, Biloxi, and just holidays). He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Marlene, Michelle, Shane and all the rest of the family
I will miss Timmy terribly. He was a great guy to work and talk with. I know he loved his family and bragged about them all the time. Have a beer Tim it’s well earned.
I was so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. My husband Paul and I enjoyed his hospitality and fun-loving spirit on many occasions. From bowling to hibachi tables to 4th of July fireworks, he was the life of the party. Here’s to you, Timmy! You will be missed.
I’m going to miss you, my old friend. We’ve been together for a long time. Hopefully we will meet again.
Papa Tim was definitely one of the coolest cats ever. From the first time we met, Chris and I felt like a part of his family. It was so obvious that were his daughter Michelle got her warm spirit and her sense of humor. We will keep the warm Cajun memories of Papa in our hearts.

I pray all the sweet memories help you all in this time of need. I remember Tim being around my whole life. Our families were close for a long while, especially through softball. He always smiled and made everyone laugh. He also threw the best parties especially July 4th! I will be thinking of you Moe, Michelle and Shane, the world definitely lost a good one! RIP Tim!!!
Mo, Michelle, Shane and your family; I am so sorry for this passing of Tim. He was such a great guy. Fun to be around and never wavering in his friendships. A very caring man. I have so many beautiful memories of times with yall. From softball, parties and the Knighting of Sir Drinksalot. Tim you are one of a kind !! Thankful to have called you friend.
I will always think of Tim on the Fourth of July. I remember how he would collect scrap metal from his jobsites and recycle for money for fireworks. Y’all always had the best, most incredible, fireworks display!!! Tim loved being able to have the best Fourth of July party! He was a friend to everyone and will be missed. Prayers and hugs for the family.
Marlene, Michelle, Shane, Cathy, Cheryl and family. I’m very sorry for your loss of Timmy. Timmy and I grew up together and then to moved to Georgia in 1986. I can remember when Timmy, Reggie and I lived in 2 Bdrm apt. We had so many good times and I’ll miss him dearly.
