Dear Uncle Gus, Julie, Wendy, and Donna,
I extend my heartfelt sadness upon hearing about Aunt Virginia. She will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I cherish the memories of her with great affection. As I reflect on these poignant words penned by John Newton in 1762, “What countless multitudes have gone before us in the path that leads to that kingdom! They were, in their time, followers of an unseen Saviour, as we are now; but while I write, and while you read, they are praising the Lamb that was slain, and casting their crowns at his feet.” I envision Aunt Virginia joining her voice with the celestial choir, singing praises in that sacred realm. The expression on her face as her faith transformed into sight must have been truly awe-inspiring.
Aunt Virginia will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will deeply miss her.
With love, James (Jim)
