William “Jack” Cown, 86 of Good Hope, GA, passed away January 26, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Cown and 4 sons, Jim Cown and his wife Sherre Milledgeville, GA; Greg Cown and his wife Cecille, Good Hope, GA; Steve Cown and his wife Tammy, Monroe, GA; and Tony Cown and his wife Kelly, Between, GA; Brother, Wade Cown and his wife Rebecca, Between, GA; Sister Gail Russell and her husband Fred, Between, GA; Sister Carol Nix, Snellville, GA; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Jack was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing and doing work with his hands.
A private service will be Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00am at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel with Rev. Nicholas Mason officiating. A public graveside will be Friday, January 29,2021 at Noon at Melwood Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mountain Creek Baptist Church, 685 Mountain Creek Church Rd. Monroe, Ga. 30656.

Mr. Cown was one of the kindest man that I had the pleasure to meet.
Tony, Steve, Jimmy and Greg, I am sorry about the passing of your father, I only met “Jack” a couple of times but I heard a lot of good stories and adventures all of you had with him. I am sorry that I want be able to make the graveside service. Shari and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. When this crazy time we are in is over It would be great to get together some time,
