“To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die”- Thomas Campbell
Mrs Yashoda Tyagi was born on August 15, 1929 in India and lived a full and love filled life for 92 years.
She left her body early morning on March 12 , 2022, peacefully in her home with her son nearby and holding her hands during her last breaths.
Her name Yashoda is synonymous with that of the mother of Lord Krishna. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunty and friend who brought joy into everyone’s life.
She loved to cook delicious food, enjoyed listening to music and was a melodious singer who could hit perfect notes even at her advanced age. She was a deeply spiritual person who spent time everyday in prayer and reflection.
Although married off at a young age as was customary in those days her intense desire to learn was recognized by the principal of her children’s school. With that encouragement she went on to not only finish her high school but all the way to a master’s degree and then held a job as a teacher for several years.
Surely , given the right circumstances, with her grit, determination and leadership qualities she could have easily been the CEO of a successful company.
She is survived by her daughter Manjula, son Navin and grandchildren Udit, Nidhi and Monish.
May her soul rest in peace.

  7. CandleImageAuntiji we will miss you so much! Every time I read Ramayana will remember your love, enthusiasm and so many years of Akhand Ramayana celebrations with you. Your friend and my Mother in Law passed away in 2015. But I always thought that you are there to bless us just like her. Now we lost that link also, a void that nobody can fill in. Every time we do Ramayana, doing the Mangal Geet and eating besan ki burphy, we will remember you! My kids Aditya and Jaya used to look up to you after their Amma was gone. Auntiji you will stay in our hearts forever. OM shanti!!
